In Joshua’s time, twelve stones were lifted from the riverbed after Israel crossed the miraculously parted Jordan. They were set as a memorial so that all who saw them would remember the mighty hand of God. Generations later, a young David stepped onto the battlefield, recalling those very stories of deliverance. With five smooth stones, faith, and fierce trust in the Lord, he faced down the giant — and won.
These stones tell a story: Of how God makes a way where there seems to be no way. Of how our history with Him fuels our courage for what lies ahead. Of how remembering becomes warfare.
